When metal meets metal, the same questions always arise. Here are the answers, without the insurance jargon.
What do I need to do immediately after a car accident?
Secure the accident scene, call emergency services and the police if necessary, and gather data and evidence. Then, document the incident systematically – for example, using our checklist above and sending a short message to Risk-BOT before contacting insurance companies.
Should I contact the other party's insurance company directly?
You can do it, but you don't have to do it unprepared. The other party's insurance company isn't your friend. Better: First, sort out your own case, review photos and information, and then act with a plan – ideally with us in the background.
When is it worth hiring a lawyer after a car accident?
For major damages, personal injuries, or significant reductions in compensation, hiring a lawyer is almost always worthwhile. For minor fender benders, you can often manage without one. We'll help you assess the situation and tell you when hiring a lawyer truly makes sense.
What if I am partially at fault for the accident?
Partial fault doesn't mean you have to accept everything. The percentage of liability determines how much you'll be compensated. We'll review police reports, sketches, and statements with you and help you understand whether the assessment is fair or not.
Can I use Risk-BOT if the accident happened a few days ago?
Yes. The sooner, the better – but even if you're already in the middle of correspondence, we can often still bring structure, translate documents, and recommend a strategy.
